Rosha Nutt is a London-based painter and printmaker of floral work.
She creates multi-layered pieces and combines cyanotype printmaking with painting to create unique collages. Natural objects such as fresh and pressed flowers are exposed by the sun, leaving behind an imprint that evokes the memory of a place or the essence of a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
“My practice sees me working across painting, printmaking, pastels and collage to create fantasy floral worlds and landscapes abstracted from the real world. I play with size and shape to create bold works often with a strong sense of colour and with reference to the floral and fauna of british flowers and gardens and shoreline. I'm trying to capture a moment in time, when we look we rarely see everything in sharp focus, I'm trying to bring this sense of moment and memory into my work.”
Rosha studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins and Middlesex University and went on to work as an art director making tv and print adverts. She worked on campaigns with Kate Moss and photographer Rankin.
In recent years Rosha’s professional practise has centred on printmaking with a number of sold out editions and exhibitions.
